Level 1 Chimney Safety Inspection – Cost $129.99
We visually inspect the readily accessible areas of the chimney structure, interior and accessible portions of the appliance and connection to the chimney. The technician will also verify that the chimney is free from obstructions and soot/ashes.
Level 2 Chimney Safety Inspection – Cost $349.99:
A Level II inspection includes all the areas and items checked in a Level I plus: A more in-depth evaluation checking for proper construction and condition of accessible portions of the chimney structure and all enclosed flues. We also check the clearances from combustibles in the accessible locations such as attics, crawl spaces and basements. No specialty tools are used in a level 2 Inspection to open an area for access. A visual inspection of each flue and joint is to be conducted by video camera.
Level 3 Chimney Safety Inspection – Usually the most expensive – Price Varies widely:
A level III inspection is not very common and is only recommended when a level 2 inspection suggests there are hidden issues and not readily accessible by the Technician. Special tools and some demolition is usually required.
